Your right.The book times for changing a matrix are;

Without aircon, half an hour

With aircon,9 hours!!

To change a matrix on a Laguna with aircon you DO need to take the dash assembly out,and even then it's not too easy!.I have heard of people bending pipes and melting plastic heater boxes to avoid taking the dash out,but really this is B#####ks!!(pardon my French).

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
