Well I would argue the toss with you, am assuming you have had someone else work on the car before you informed the trader.. I would be telling you to go away.
If the abs light was not on before, how could the fault be there .
The brakes were working ok , but halfords and kwikfit, both took your money.
Had a look at the pictures, both would pass an mot, with no issues..
As regards the tyre, does that mean every vehicle that has tyres on from new, after a certain age they need changing,, then you will need to check your air bags ,, every ten years, so the air bags are now no good.
Where are you going to draw the line..
Are you, in general not happy with the vehicle?
Be very careful, the trader could hope you take it further, he could end up with a good pay day,.
The law works both ways, as everyone on here agrees the discs and pads are ok

I think, aesthetically, car design is so interesting - the dashboards, the steering wheels, and the beauty of the mechanics. I don't know how any of it works, I don't want to know,
