Beware, NOT ALL Grands have 7 Seats some only have 5 like a normal Scenic. IMHO to heavy for the 1.5 dcI & 1.6 petrol options, especially if you intend to fill all the seats.

Consider too differences in insurance costs.

The mk2 might have felt underpowered matey, but the 110bhp motor in the mk3 is pretty torquey and definitely doesn't struggle even when fully laden. Mines had no modifications that I know of and despite being an automatic it is pretty quick for a 1.5 mpv. I was very surprised how nippy they are, it was one of the reasons I was happy to buy one [emoji1]
