After reading these posts this week and due to the extortionate cost of a litre of fuel, I've decided to drive with economy totally in mind. So far, I'm up to 94 miles and the first light of the fuel guage is still on. I'm wondering if it'll have disappeared when I start the engine tonight. I'll let you know.
As I said in my opening couple of messages, it's easy to become obsessed with the light. 94 miles is about tops, though.
I used to drive a 1999 Discovery V8, a car I absolutely adored and still miss terribly. I went off-roading in it once, and climbing near 45 degree rutted hills in low-second, was getting just 7 mpg. My word, though, it sounded good.
