Haven't seen any custom seat manufacturer using cold water nor mist to return the leather to its original shape
. I know they use water spray, mist or steam to shape
the leather. Therefore I suppose they use steam as a medium of transferring heat into deeper layers of leather.
Iknow that nourishing leather requires moisture, but IMO not by water, rather by oils and waxes.
Still, I don't want to be regarded as another mickey, and certainly not questioning your experience, will be happy to be corrected.
