Renault Laguna 2 - Type Pressure Sensor Thread

HELP, I had to have the two front tyres replaced and in doing so they found that my drivers side tyre pressure sensor had rusted to much to put back on!
So it has to be replaced, I phoned a renault dealer (bridges of reading) and they have just quoted me 131 + vat to replace it! Is there any other way of doing this? does it have to be done by a Renault dealer?
I heard that the reason it has to be done by a main Renailt dealer is because they have to initialize the sensor once fitted! not sure if this is true!
I have a 02 Laguna initiale V6 estate.
Can anyone help?
