Electronic Fault Warning Light

I am having a problem with my 2002 Renault Laguna 1.9dCi.

Last week the car went into a garage to have a master cylinder fitted, that solved my sticky clutch problems, but it has since developed another problem.

When going up a hill in 3rd or 4th at about 1800-2400 revs the electronic warning light will come on, usually after about 8ish seconds

The car then slows down, and doesn't have much power at all.
The light will stay on then until the engine is turned off.

Usually the light stays off upon restarting the engine, but sometimes the light stays on, but after a quick rev of the engine it goes off. It then stays off until I get to another hill!

I was going to get the car plugged in, but apparently it can only be done at the Renault garage, and they have 3 week wait!

Can anyone shed any light on my problem?

Thank you,

*Edit - I have searched the forum for problems like this, but couldn't find anything matching my cars 'symptoms'.
