I cannot understand why they took it off in the first place, they should not be removed for a tyre change.
When I had my tyres changed last year, the fitter tried to change the inner valve cores (I watched them) and he screwed them up trying to get them out (the would'nt unscrew). They replaced them with standard valves in the end. God knows why they try and replace the inner valve cores, maybe its a safety thing ?
Ive since had the TPS disabled on my mottah, and have got rid of all those pesky valves that snap / rust etc and the associated warning messages that annoyed the hell out of me
