Running a Kangoo Trekka 1.9 turbo diesel. I have a Russeck Pocket Mechanic handbook. My fuel filter is exactly as described and pictured in the book. However, it says that the filter can opened and the internal filter changed. On mine (without removing from the vehicle) it appears as if the unit is sealed and disposable. There are no apparent screws or anything. Does anyone have this type and are they replaced as a unit?
French Chemist:confused:

My guess,(and stress it's only a guess!) is that as with many 'utility' vehicle manufacturers (eg Land-Rover) they've eliminated the replaceable filter for a sealed unit. More expensive of course, but the 'plus' side is that it's less messy to change, and (as I did once with my old 'Landy')if the gasket on the unit has worn a bit thin, as soon as you turn on oil pees out all over your garage floor!
