Thank you for your replies its all done! I wonder how many people scrap these cars just for this fault - I literally had garages offer me £30 for the whole car. Information about it vauge and confusing but in the end I went to scrappy there was a standard 5 seater scenic(infact 3) with manual handbrake so we used that and got new cables for the grand...all in all its cost around 80 with new cables (didnt trust scrap yard ones) and took brother about an hour to do with your guide half of that being the faf on with carpets. When carpet was lifted everyhing for a manual was practically there no holes to drill or nothing - guide tubes and handbrake came off the scenic but cables for a grand scenic...fitted it all fine and working great! 25 the handbrake cost! Think forums should make this post a sticky!
