The book time is 8 hours, however It is easily done in 4.5 hours..

The subframe does not have to be removed, it only has to be dropped down 3 inches to get the Gearbox differential past it..

If you get an independant to replace it make sure they use 75W80 "TRP" gearbox oil . (available from your dealer) This oil is specialist high pressure gear oil specifically for use in the "PK6" box..

Very Important Note The gearbox must NOT be overfilled. The oil Quantity is 2.4 litres.. (It must not be filled until the oil spills out of the fill hole as with other gearbox types).
