Identify Your Immobiliser Type

Hello all!

I had a thought earlier about all the immobiliser problems people have with their cars. I though it would be useful to have a little resource so that folks can easily identify the type of immobiliser they have by the type of key they have.

This is a little "rough and ready" the photo is a bit poor in quality and I will improve it when it is light outside! Since I have access to three different types of the plips I thought it would be useful to someone.

In the attached photo-

Key1 is the old IR type plip key - commonly used in the late 90's

Key2 is the early RF type plip key.

Key 3 is a later RF type plip key.

I realise there are other variants of plips, but I thought this could be a rough guide, so people know which system their car uises before asking questions? And other key types can easily be added.

EDIT - I've attached a new picture, a little clearer than the last one but it's taken on a camera phone so the quality is still a bit poo!
