Appears that the temp. sender was the culprit for this problem as the car is running fine since I replaced it
I'm still waiting for it to start happening again though
Just some info as well. I received a phonecall from Renault this morning to advise me that the part I requested from them (the IAT) has been discontinued so the only place to get hold of these now is a scrapyard.
Bloody crazy that. A nine year old car and for the sake of one tiny, tiny part may need to be scrapped if one cannot be outsourced
(not that was my problem anyway, but what of the future).
