Hi, with my '03 1.9dci sport tourer, i religeously let the car run for about 30 seconds on startup, and for about the same before turning off the car to prevent possible premature turbo failure (thankfully has not happened yet).

I were speaking to some friends who are in sales at VW and Toyota dealerships, and they mentioned that the new generation diesels that they sell no longer require this as they feed oil instantly to the turbo on startup, and also once the car is turned off, they feed oil to the turbo to avoid premature failure.

Are the new Renault's the same? I am considering a new generation model, and wonder if there is any changes here?
