yes diagnostics required as airbag light will go off once fault repaired on own but parking brake fault will stay lit until manually cleared

Legal options are Renault Diagnostics @ dealer or a code reader ( I use a icarsoft907 - i have traced airbag faults and removed parking brake message using this tool 74.99 eBay )

not so legal are the ebay can clips

you may clear faults but they will return unless you find what caused them 1st..... sometimes and this is common people change battery without following the correct procedure and this messes cars computer modules up.
