The nearside rear sliding door is designed to stay locked when the fuel flap is open as a safety device. If it wont open when the fuel flap is locked, then you have a broken sensor wire or water inside it. You need a replacement fuel flap loom, you need to remove the filler housing by drilling out the 3 rivets, disconecting the sensor, remove the N/S/R light assembally to get to the grommet and remove the N/S/R inner plastic trim to disconnect the looms connectors. The loom only has 2 connectors and is a very easy job to carry out, just remember to put some clean rag down the filler hole to stop swarf entering the tank.
