Don't accept poor Quality

Just a little saga I am in the middle of.

Had the front bumper protection strip replaced at an approved insurance body shop. Colour coded etc. Anyway it did not fit flush at the ends, they explained Renault body parts don,t always fit that well so I accepted it.

After a week of looking at the car from different angles was not happy and would even rather have the damaged bumper strip back on.

Went back to the body shop (together with a 2nd independent opinion on it from Renault up my sleeve) and told them I could not accept the result whether it was the part or the workmanship.

They have agreed to order a new part and rework the car until it is correct. They even said in the past they have had trouble with this part and it was'nt till the 6th time that the part fitted correctly.

I will see what happens - I am being particular - but why accept work on your car if overall it is worse than before?

Hopefully if some of you have the will power to read through the whole of this thread it may be of use in some way or another.
