Do Renaults eat light bulbs?!

When I got my current car, it had a normal back light bulb blown, the lights behind the heater controls dead, and the headlight and sidelight indicators in the instrument cluster.

All but the back light are still un-lit, since I really can't be bothered to take the various bits of the dashboard to bits...

Is it just me, or do these cars eat lightbulbs? I never had any go in the 3 years I had my 205, and my Volvo 345 only blew one...
