Is your car in a secure place, you are able to leave doors unlocked.
If yes, insert keycard, then disconnect the battery, this will stop your steering lock coming on .
Then you wont have to reconnect your battery to work on your steering, or brake system.
Also ,,,, less chance of steering lock jamming

I think, aesthetically, car design is so interesting - the dashboards, the steering wheels, and the beauty of the mechanics. I don't know how any of it works, I don't want to know,
