Is there any way you can get your hand inside the trim in the boot / rear compartment. One of the inspection hatches to reach the mechanism near the fuel cap. On my Scenic the solenoid seems to operate ok but the whole mechanism is loose inside the bodywork so it doesn't unlock properly. I can reach it by hand easily and slide it open.
Hi @twodogs ,

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the help

What I did yesterday evening was to put in some WD40 around the fuel cap area and leave it for the night. I did some more googling, and someone suggested to press the Fuel Cap Door in with some force and then hit the unlock button, and it worked! I could feel the pin unlock so I guess this one worked out.

I will defo try what you said so that I have an idea of what to do if the above does not work next time.

Thanks everyone for the replies and advice, and hope this benefits everyone.
