Scatz, have you tried a "smart" repair shop, like little knocks or such, they are much cheaper than normal body shops
No such thing arround here I don't think??
If you're off to Halfords mate stay away from their 'off the shelf' paints. They don't tend to have a good spray pattern on them and give a blotchy finish andblock very easy. Also their colour match tends to be crap. Get them to mix you a tin from your cars paint code.
If possible stay away from them all together and go to a specialized car paint shop, if you have one near that is!
Too late for that Mikey
I've used their touch up sticks before and the match was pretty good, if not perfect. If I were spraying a panel or such then I would heed your advice completely but as I'm only doing the trim.....I may very well get away with it
I only bought 1 tin of primer and top coat and shall work on only one trim piece for now, as a 'tester' if you like. If it turns out horribly wrong then I shall indeed visit a specialist paint shop.
I shall let you know how I get on
