If you go to Halfords (the larger stores carry more stock) then you buy a connecting lead.
On most modern car radios now you get just a block sticking out the back, this is because it allows the manufacturer to make just 1 head unit that fits all. You then buy a connecting lead that fits into the back of the heads block and then the other side fits into the connection from your wiring loom.
I'm not sure if any head unit will work the steering wheel controls as the steering controls will again be linked into the wiring loom that this connection lead will plug into or if you'll need a head unit with a steering wheel / stalk input.
Best to give them a call and ask !
