Over four years with the megane and I have changed both front side light bulbs and one headlamp bulb. I actually swapped both headlight bulbs to xenon"ish" bulbs with a bluey light to them but not the full HID kit! That was 3 years ago.

As for dash bulbs, the hazard switch light bulb didn't work when I got the car but when it went in for its first head gasket and a major service I got the car back and the bulb worked - I never asked the mechanic if he had replaced it, there was nothing on the list of work done to say he had!

If you find you are replacing these fiddly dash bulbs more often than not then it might be worth while changing them for LED's that should last for ever (pretty much)
