If I remember correctly the brake master cylinder is up in the front passenger footwell. It is a known fault that the air seal just were the actuating rod enters the bulkhead leaks. The only time you should hear a light hiss is when the brake pedal is pressed and the servo is vacuum charged. A loud or constant hiss at other times is usually a good sign the servo air-seal is leaking.
