General Towbar fitting advise

I need to get a towbar fitted to my Laguna II SportTourer. I have had a few quotes ranging from 180 to 500 depending on make and type.

Basically, I have been offered a detachable, non detachable, wired with 'scotch lock', soldered wiring and the company i spoke to last (which happened to be the 500 quote) said I needed a 'blown bulb detecting module'

This has got me thinking, would the other prices i have from Towsure and another in Milton keynes (don't have the name with me) include this module in the price? Or is the guy just trying it on? I wouldn't want the towbar fitting to stop the car notifying me that a bulb had gone.

Also, does it really make much difference whether the wiring is soldered or scotch locks?

Thanks in advance.
