Ok guys for anyones future info I've sorted it.
As the washer reservoir is in the wing, the front nearside wheel needs to come off and the rear section of the inner wheel arch lining, then you can see the washer reservoir. You then need to manipulate the front section of the inner wheel arch to access one nut which holds the reservoir in position, have a bucket handy if there is still water in and drop it down and it disengages from the filler nozzle. Tip it over the bucket and empty it.
The pump will then pull from it's position, pull of the connector and the mini hoses ready for renewal etc.
