Really depends upon what you need to retain & often what one has in stock at the time.
Thread lock for disc brake carriers.
Nyloc nuts for track rod ends, older ones had split cotters.
Nyloc nuts on handbrake adjusters. But if none in stock, Two standard nuts in locknut configuration.
Ask DD to list all the types of lock washer one can acquire for different jobs.
