Usually it is a sign of the switch needing replaced, You can gain access from the cars interior, There is a emergency release there as well I believe.

Use the Forums search facility input - Fuell filler or Fuel flap and it should throw up something for you to work on
Thanks ottoman - anyone know how much this switch part costs and how easy it is to fit?
