I replaced mine a while ago and it was easy but I probably had some other bits off the car at the time. Have a look inside the boot liner and see if you can see the unit - if you can then it's pretty easy to change. It bolts on with one big plastic nut next to the filler cap and pulls out from either inside the boot liner or underneath the wheel arch (sorry can't remember). Be careful when fitting the new one...the reason I had to change mine in the first place was that I broke the plastic by tightening the plastic nut too much.

You'll get one at a breakers yard cheap...and if you strip it off yourself you'll learn the technique.
