Xenons do adjust automatically as the pitch of the car alters due to sensors on the front and rear suspension, but the static adjustment can still be out.
Do both lights go through the self check up and down thing when you switch them on?.If not, there might be a problem with a sensor(which is usually an arm becoming disconnected, but this will alter both headlights),or a problem in the motor in the adjuster in the back of the headlight.
It could be that the light has been replaced at some stage and not been aligned properly,so if you adjust the static alignment all will be well.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
