Easy. The seat-belt buckle is made of two plastic parts held together with 2 Torx screws T10 size, remove these and inside the mechanism on the LHS you'll see two metal contacts which are normally closed and shorting, (when seatbelt is not connected), when you put the seatbelt in the buckle the action of the seat bealt pushes a plastic spacer between these contacts and opening the circuit, rather than 'bending', or 'cutting', I gently prised the concts open and slipped a piece of insulation tape over one of the contacts thus permanently opening the circuit - took less than 5 minutes.
