I've now spent some more time on the car and the only thing I can find that is at all strange is the intake air temperature. When everything is cold it indicates 8degC through the OBD, but when the engine is warmed up it says 30 - 40 degC. Last time I looked, I was not in Barbados!!
I guess it makes sense as the
will be weakening off the mixture for higher temperatures. The long term fuel trim is also very high at 25%, but I had only been idling the engine in the garage for some time so not sure if this is genuine .
Can anyone tell me please if these intake air temperature sensors are a common failure point on Renaults??
Also, Jules - does yours get worse as the engine gets hotter?
Before I change anything, I've just whacked a load of injector cleaner in it - see if that helps!
Thanks for any comments.
Mine gets better as the engine gets warmer !
