Re: Clio 2 1.5 DCI - high mileage - worth spending money on?
Project cars can give a load of satisfaction, but only if;
•you have the skills not to have to pay others to do the repairs
•you have the tools you need
•you have the time to devote to dismantling, repairing & rebuilding the car
If you don't, they become an unreliable, money-pit and a real PITA that you will grow to resent.
Very true words.
But if someone is willing to learn, I still maintain that a dog of a first car is an important part and a valuable practical aid to learning.
Not to be undertaken lightly or if the motor is critical to life.
Trust me (and I'm sure many others here), being underneath the motor on a wet and cold Sunday to get it fixed for Monday morning is something you look back and smile on.
But is no fun at the time.
