Re: Megane III driver's door latch mechanism

Open the door, just above the part you want to change, you will see a rubber grommet.
Pull this out, inside there is a plate, hard to describe if you have not seen one.
But, where the grommet has been pulled out, you will notice it is level with the outside door handle.
You now need a piece of rod, ( a metal coat hanger will work ).
Bend the rod , you will need to bend it at 90%, and have a 1/4 inch hook
( So its a straight rod, at the end bend it 1/4 inchat 90% )
This hook, now has to go into the hole, push it in, until you feel the inside of the door handle.
If you can get some sort of light inside, you will see the plastic, and a piece of aluminium , its the aluminium, you need to pull on.
Its the bottom part of the aluminium you need to hook.
Once you have your hook behind it, give it a good solid pull.
Once this is pulled out. It will allow your d shape part of your outer door handle to come out,....
Then , pull on the other part of the door handle, in the direction, of your door grommet, this will then come out.
If you then look at the part protruding from the outside,.....( Black plastic section)... you will see a piece of plastic ( from where the longer part of the door handle slide out,) this needs slightly pressing in, then all that section will slide back, and all the internal part will come out from the inside.
From the inside, remove ( if fitted) the shield covering the door locking mechanism., undo the 3 pins from your door lock.
Everything else you will see, from the inside
