Used to be able to buy them, they would go over the top of the inner wings, where the rot was,,
Used to blow the old one away, with the welder/bottles.
Fit the flitch, drill and fill along the lip of the wing
Then run a seam of weld along the bottom of it

Do a miss google for inner wing flitch,,

I think, aesthetically, car design is so interesting - the dashboards, the steering wheels, and the beauty of the mechanics. I don't know how any of it works, I don't want to know,
