I gotta say I don't think I'd go for a rover to be honest. Spare parts can't be easy seeing as they're no longer in business though they were popular in their hay day so most scrap yards should have a plentiful supply.

Don't beleive all Renaults are bad mate, sure some are a knightmare, some are ok a very rare few are wonderful. Our megane was our first ever car and it was great! The downside being the heavy maintenance costs as something was/is always wrong with it. It isn't the easiest of cars to work on for the first timer either

Then we got a fiat... I'll remain diplomatically quiet.

Next was the beast in my avatar - Renault Safrane. Volvo powerplant under the hood. I'll take back every negative thing ever said about renault with this car. When they set their mind to it, Renault can actually make a rock solid reliable car. It is rare though for some reason that they put this much effort into their cars.
