I don't honestly recall how many beeps you get and when. I think it's supposed to be a single beep when you press the button though. I'm not sure what two beeps mean.

If you look in the settings, there should be something along the lines of 'minimise voice feedback.' All this actually does is replace a voice prompt with the beep that you should be getting. Try turning that off and pressing the button again. It should say something along the lines of "Please say a command" whenever you press the button.

If not, then it's back to the dealer with it, I'm afraid. For what it's worth, the voice recognition can be pretty flakey, but it should work better than this.

My first guess is that there's something wrong with the microphone. Does the Bluetooth handsfree work correctly? If so, that'd rule this out.
