Tried disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes and it's still the same. Even checked the 15A fuse in the engine control module for the steering lock (it's ok). The only other fuse I checked was the 20A for the interior control module (it was ok).

I've checked the clutch switch and it's ok. The brake switch hasn't worked since I've had the car, but it usually starts on the clutch.

It's got to be related to the fuse I replaced, as the car started on the button before and the steering lock was OK!

I have noticed that, when pressing the start button, the ignition lights come on and the throttle body electronics make a constant high-pitched noise. Also, I can hear a very faint noise from behind the dash (a bit like running water through copper pipe - if you know what I mean).
