Exactly and the frustrating thing is if VOSA did actually look at this and get independant expert in put they wouldn't have to worry.
Without being technical -
You don't put your seat belt on - alarm goes off
You don't close a door properly - clarm goes off
You don't close the boot - alarm goes off
You don't fully let the hand break off - red light
Low on petrol - red light
Now if Renault want to go to the argument of you don't close the bonnet properly then surley their is some sort of indicator for this - no need their is a fail safe secondary catch. The secondary catch is their as an alarm or light could be missed this fail safe should be idiot proof!!!!
