2009 Clio Clutch Slave Cylinder

Hi, hoping someone here can answer a basic question regarding clutch cylinders for a 2009 Clio (diesel engine).

It appears that the slave cylinder on my GF's 2009 Clio has broken (clutch stays stuck down).

The local garage have quoted £900 to fix this. Obviously this is quite a bit, we have been told this is because it will take a whole day of labour plus parts.

Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Labour plus parts, is about right, as garage will want to change everything inside the bellhousing .
Thats the down side of the job,,,,, The daft thing is, the job is not difficult, but is time consuming...
Have you thought about shopping around....

But because we dont know what size engine, or petrol or diesel, it is hard to really say,,
