You could try this...the steering lock is activated by the drivers door being opened when initialising, the other doors won't work. Shut the door, lock the car & leave for 1 minute. Unlock the car, open the driver's door, get in and try to start as usual. As I said before, the steering lock fault is common and may have gone just by coincidence. I have seen these go as a result of an airbag feed fault I seem to remember as it's linked to that circuit (on the Scenic 2 anyway). Assuming all fuses are ok in UPC (engine bay) and for
(glovebox), then you may need to get a diag check at your local renault dealer.
