On the scenic there are rubber flaps to let the water out and stop small animals getting in.
The general advice is to remove the flaps since they can cause a build-up of gunk, small leaves etc. and the scuttle won't clear.
I'm not sure about the clio, but I'm sure someone will be aong with Clio pictures eventually.

Found the source of the problem, lifter the plastic board up underneath wipers and pushed some metal wire down the holes the water should run down and this seemed to clear the hole and the water runs down nice and smooth now thank you all for your help.... if you could now help me with which tires now on my other thread that would be great
