Re: Laguna II - ABS not working but no warning lights ?

Hi,
I did do that and the pins I checked showed as making a contact, however you have to remember this is with the unit on the bench and at room temperature, with the unit mounted on the car in a colder temperature & with voltage present it could be a different story.

I did say in an earlier post that we could be barking up the wrong tree suspecting the pins, maybe a component or two on the board is dodgy, it's hard to tell without someone who knows how to test the board fully.

My ABS problem started as an intermittent light on the dashboard, sometimes on for a few minutes then off for a few days, this patten repeated for months with the occurrence becoming more frequent & prolonged so it does make me think it could have been a bad connection

Cheers.

Re: Laguna II - ABS not working but no warning lights ?

Thanks dannyc and TTT I have now got myself a replacement ABS pump and have been putting off fitting it as I hate bleeding brakes... My front bumper is only held on with 2 bolts at the moment, (headlight washers, checking intercooler and pipes etc.) so I will try and replace the ECU if its not raining tomorrow, should give me better access hopefully.

hi trickyd400
did you do the swap today???
thinking back theres no need to bend the brakets as i did if you had the t25 torx bit and could put it in a spanner i only had to hand a torx screwdriver hence the bending
let us know how you have done i spent most of the day swaping ALL the various switch bulbs for led's
