I have came across 4 variations - 8, 10, 11 and 13 mm so take your pick. Then again if the nipple is corroded any thing in between may fit.

Question Re: Laguna II - ABS not working but no warning lights ?

Thanks madnoel,

My Lag has 8mm bleed nipples, well actually it has one bleed nipple(NS) as it would appear whoever last changed the brakes before me has sheared the OS nipple clean off.

So now any help or ideas to get the nipple stud out of the calliper would be greatly appreciated

On another note one of the guide pins on the OS calliper was siezed and so after a lot of penertrating fluid and some elbow grease(Not copper grease, lol) I managed free the bugger and give it a good clean out. However I think I may need to replace this as the protective boot has split, so anyone know if these are available seperate, or will it be a new (Used) calliper?

New calipers don't come with slide pins but I do belive a pin and seal kit may be available.

Removing seized and broken bleed screws can be a nightmare and if buying a second hand one there is no gaurantee its bleed nipple won't give similar problems on attempting removal.

Thanks mate, I have had a look on web and can get a refurb kit which has piston seals and the boots for the guide pins for 25 and also bleed nipples for a few quid.

So as the bleed nipple has been sheared clean off, I presume the only way to get it out is to drill it out with a dremel type small drill bit?

Re: Laguna II - ABS not working but no warning lights ?

Does anyone know what the thread pitch would be for the brake caliper bleed nipple?

I have seen plenty of 8mm ones on ebay for a few quid, but there seems to be different thread pitch varints of 1mm, 1.25mm and 1.5mm

I want to order it before trying to extract the old one, so need to make sure I get the right one.
