master van handbrake cable.

Hi guys, I've had a look for an answer in the forums but can't see anything.
I pulled the handbrake on my van today quite firmly as I was on a hill. It went on then pinged and the lever went all the way up. I assume I have snapped the cable, or may it have detached?
Anyway, I was wondering if there are any hints or tips that may make my life easier when changing or repairing?

Re: master van handbrake cable.

There is a thread here explaining how to repair and convert your broken handbrake cables to everlasting stainless steel for GBP 5.90. The thread applies to a Kangoo but should in principle be similar to yours.
