Clio pedal travel

Hi i have a 200 clio 1.4 8 valve
When you apply the brakes the pedal will either travel over half way down before brake effort is reached or the pedal will be solid and effort is at the top op the pedal .
system has been pressure bled with no air and no leaks apparent , the only thing i can possibly find is when you press the pedal it sounds slightly noisy from inside the car no idea if this is normal or maybe an indication of servo failure .
any ideas on where i should look next ?

Re: Clio pedal travel

Sounds like a servo fault - check if none of its vacuum pipes are leaking,
