Brakes hissing?

Hi all

Noticed the other day that if I pump the brake pedal at a standstill I get a slight hissing sound, and the revs increase slightly. Is this simply a case of the brakes needing bleeding or could it be something more serious?

Had pads replaced a few days ago but the hissing occured before the change, and continue to get the noise now.

Re: Brakes hissing?

With the engine off you should get 5 or 6 presses of the pedal before it goes hard, if so what your hearing is likely normal and you have not noticed before, but with brakes if you are in any way worried about it then get it checked out by someone that knows.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.
