Rear Disc and Pad Change on a Renault Grand Scenic II
I set about changing my rear discs and pads on my Renault Grand Scenic II today.
Firstly, I did not have the correct spanner to undo the caliper bolts! Please confirm or correct this: I need a 13mm socket and a 15mm spanner to get the caliper bolts off? I have the 13mm socket and that's fine, am I correct in guessing the spanner needs to be 15mm?
Also, what size is the hub nut? My sockets go up to 32mm and that was not big enough!
Last but not least, officially, caliper bolts and hub nuts should be changed for new... am I compromising my safety by re-using the old and using a drop or two of thread-lock?
Thank you very much in advance!
