he gave me the old frown, pursed his lips, tapped some keys, grinned and said, " theyr'e *******s renault aren't they ?" " your'e unlucky your model has 2 differnt sets, one with a funny shaped metal bit , and the other's don't" wife is away with car for 3 days so i cant ring her to take off the wheel to check them,...., can i ??

Try the link below - it has a fairly decent database - it may well be of assistance.

Re: wifes away ,,,,worn pads ?

Could ask the Mrs for the registration number - ring renault for the part number/ description quoting Reg no and engine size etc. then go to your 'Renault loving motorfactor guy' with the correct part no/description. - Slightly naughty but Renault spare part prices can be slightly high sometimes.

P.S I'd rather have a splinter in my back than oil run down my arm into my arm pit like the last time I did an oil change. urrrrgh.. makes me shudder just remenising about it..

Re: wifes away ,,,,worn pads ?

I would do one of the following:

Buy both and return the ones you don't need.

Or take the pads off the car and go and match them up.

Or get the pads from Renault dealer.

i would just go straight to renault. their brake parts usually work out cheaper than a motorfactors.
