Re: Grand Scenic Electronic Handbrake Stripdown Plus Photos

Have the Renault Grand Espace 2004 Model and the garage have removed the EPB box with cables. However one of the wires have been cut which leaves me confused as to the relative length of the wire.

How much "free" slack should there be on the wire when pushed all the way in at one end?

When I mean "free" slack I mean how man cm of actual wire should you be able to see that is not covered by the outer cable. I measured around 4cm for the cable on the driver side and I assume it should be equal same on the other (passenger) side?

I really one some of you guys could help me out. I just want to verify it before having a replacement cable made.

That'll be value but not sure what he's looking for.
If it's working manually, should be okay on auto unless one of the conditions for operation hasn't been met.

Try this thread
Electronic Handbrake will not auto release

If not, start a new thread and we'll try to sort it out.
